LIVE FREE💃!

Well hello!
It's been ages!!
Happy new month Lovelies!!!

This post may or may not have anything to do with Nigeria's independence but the concept of freedom is one that I'm more than passionate about, hence this post which is really more of a collection of powerful quotes on 'freedom' that did more than touch my spot; packaged and wrapped up with sumptuous lines from 'The Character of a Happy Life' by Sir Henry Wotton.

Enjoy!

FREEDOM QUOTES

They say "What's your favorite word?" and I replied "Read my chest"👆🏾

FREEDOM.
NNWEREONWE.
LIBERTÉ.
LIBERTAD.
FREIHEIT

I would like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free, live free, so other people would also be free - Rosa Parks.

Who then is free? The wo/man who is able to govern him or herself.

Whosoever will be a man MUST BE a non-conformist. What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think...

I will always remember that "freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes" - Mahatma Ghandi

Teach me. But if I don't listen, leave me to wander far away... Maybe I'll get missing, hurt;or I might be lucky to return...

We know the road to freedom has always been stalked by death, but I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

The Character of a Happy Life - Henry Wotton

How happy is he born and taught
That serveth not another's will;
Whose Armour is his honest thought,
And simple truth his utmost skill!

Whose passions not his master's are
Whose soul is still prepared for death,
Untied unto the world by care
Of public fame or private breath;

Who is envies none that chance doth raise,
Nor vice; who never understood
How deepest wounds are given by praise;
Nor rules of stage, but rules of good;

Who hath his life from rumors freed;
Whose conscience is his strong retreat;
Whose state can neither flatterers feed,
Nor ruin make oppressors great;

This man is freed from servile bands
Of hope to rise or fear to fall:
Lord of himself, though not of lands;
And having nothing, yet hath all.
